Lauren Leeds
Owner and Private Piano Teacher
Lauren Leeds is a local Summit County mom who is passionate about making and teaching music. As the owner of Blue Sky Music, her goal is to make music accessible to as many people as possible in Summit County, Colorado. Lauren previously taught Music Together® classes in Summit County, from 2018 to 2021. Prior to moving to Colorado, Lauren taught Elementary Music for six years in Virginia, and has over 20 years of experience teaching Private Piano Lessons in CO, NJ, and VA. Lauren has held both a Virginia and Colorado Professional teaching license for Music K-12, and has a Bachelor of Music degree. She will be starting a new job as the Frisco Elementary School Music Teacher in the Fall of 2026!
Sammy Gutierrez
Private Guitar, Piano, Voice, Bass, and Drums teacher
Sammy’s passion for music began in his youth and eventually grew into a passion for teaching. He earned a bachelor’s degree in Music Education and holds an EC–12 teaching certification. He has extensive experience teaching in elementary schools, where he has led a variety of programs, including kindergarten musicals, family folk dancing, choir, and Orff ensembles.
Sammy’s teaching philosophy aligns with that of music educator Zoltán Kodály: music belongs to everyone, and every child should have access to high-quality music education. He also believes in providing structured, goal-oriented instruction while maintaining the flexibility for students to explore and develop their own musical curiosity.
Outside of music, Sammy loves traveling, fitness and the outdoors often enjoying his weekends hiking, backpacking, kayaking, and running.
